Interview date timelines

Hello,

 

I was wondering if anyone in the states has gotten an interview date since the new administration has come in? My husband is in Canada and we were DQ’d on 11/20/24. We are currently still waiting for his interview date from the Montreal embassy. We have not heard anything in months. If any one has any updates I would appreciate it!

That's nothing to do with the new administration, Montréal has always had quite a wait. It’s actually got much quicker, it used to be well over a year but now is just a few months. They’re currently scheduling those who were DQ’ed in September, so hopefully you’ll hear in a couple of months - https://ca.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visa-process/
