Did CO mention the visa would be approved?

the interview was 30th of September so i would think your medical was prior

it will soon be 6 months from that date and if it goes beyond the 6 month medical ,  the embassy will require a new exam if visa is not issued prior to that date

Be prepared to travel fast if visa is issued or to have new medical if CO asks for one

221 g from any embassy can take weeks or months

hopefully u will hear soon

The officer took the passports and said you will not have to come back here then said we just needed to send in the inextensa or original birth certificates because we had copied which we did 3 days later. The travel docs page confirms they received the documents but still no updates.

If your 221(g) case at the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo has been pending for four months, you should check your status on the CEAC Website for updates. If there’s no movement, contact the embassy via email (support-dominicanrepublic@ustraveldocs.com) or phone (18299565144 in the Dominican Republic, 17039883410 in the U.S.). If delays persist, consider reaching out to the U.S. Department of State or consulting an immigration attorney to explore possible escalation options.

Update: K2 visas expired due to not having the travel authorization certificate at time of travel. In any case does anyone know the procedure or the first steps in reapplying for a k2 visa if the original K1 is already in USA? Do I have to do another I129F petition and start all over again? Or do we need another medical exam and DS160 form? Anyone with experience in this situation your help would be appreciated can not find a solid answer on this and uscis will not even answer the question! Thanks
