US Spouse Last Name unchanged when ROC filed

Hi -

My husband is finally here on a marriage visa (CR-1). At the end of this year, he'll be starting the process of removing conditions.

I (USC) have not changed my last name due to his culture not having a "family" name, (the husband's first name becomes the wife's last name). Will this cause an issue with him getting his conditions removed because we don't have the same last name?

 

All documents involving both of us have my name as it always has been, including when I petitioned for him. 

 

(I believe he is afraid because of the new administration that this will cause issues)

Nobody has to change names. And definitely not for immigration reasons. Keeping names "as is" is totally fine.

 

He can even change name to complely different name if he wants when he naturalizes and there's no problem with it
