Refers to both biometrics and embassy interviews. 🙂

If they will magically open slots, after you secure your biometric schedule you will be prompted to the next calendar which is consular booking.

There have been no slots for about 6 weeks now.

Ideally medical should be done before the interview. VAC don’t ask about medical completion status. There were applicants sent home because medical was not completed. There are also some that were allowed (like me). I guess it depends upon the mood of the consul.

Though, the consul confirmed and mentioned medical not done yet is "normal". I guess they are aware how difficult it is to secure biometrics and consular appointments.

Hi, Marya! I appreciate the help. Would you happen to know the requirements for the biometrics? like what documents to bring and if there's a specific dress code (e.g. white top with collar)? Thank you so much!

OH MY GOSH THANK YOU!!! I finally booked schedules for both my biometrics and interview. If it weren't for you, I probably would have missed all the slots. I hope you're blessed tenfold!! ❤️

I'm glad I was able to help you. Good luck with everything.

HI!

My fiance and I were wondering at what time and what location were you at when got the slots? On my end it said you got slots at 8:26PM not sure if that is Philippines time or US time.

Hi Renz and Pat! I booked the slots at 12:41PM, Philippine time and I am in Manila. There were still a handful of slots available for the biometrics at that time (probably 100+), but the slots for the interview itself was probably around 50 or less. From what I've read, the best practice would be to regularly check the website at specific times (e.g. 12MN, 11AM, 5PM) so you don't miss it. :)

Do you have specific times you feel strongly about?? Also when they open slots up, is always for both? I have always wondered what to do if for example there were interview slots but no Biometrics or v/v.

If you only have time to check once, I think between 10AM-11AM Philippine Time is a good option. I've read that sometimes they randomly open up slots during the wee hours (like 3AM), but I think 11AM would still be okay since I was able to book at 12:41PM.

I also think they open slots for both biometrics and interview at the same time, but the interview slots get snatched up more quickly--probably because there's higher demand. You don't have to worry about opening another site though! When you book your biometrics first, you just have to wait a bit for the site to redirect you to the interview slots. It looks exactly the same, but instead of "OFC MANILA", it'll be "Manila IV" if I remember correctly. In the off chance that you only book your biometrics schedule, I think you'll be able to book your interview on a separate date when they release slots again (maybe this is the reason why the number of slots for biometrics and visa interview are not equal).

Biometric calendar will show first. When booked, that's the only time calendar of consular interview will show. However, the system will automatically cancel the booked biometrics schedule if you weren't able to secure consular interview at the same time.

Hello! We got an interview appointment from the NVC, and I was told to secure a biometrics appointment. A few days ago, I managed to schedule it, but I didn't receive any email confirmation. From what I've heard, there's a bug, so I contacted customer service, but they couldn’t help either. After a few hours, I received an email saying my appointment was cancelled. From what I read, the calendar should be set to IV Manila instead of OFC, but mine shows Manila OFC. Is there any workaround for this, or did I make an error when signing up for the application? Thanks in advance!
