My kids received their N-600s after more than two years of waiting in April last year.

Their USCIS accounts still show "interview scheduled". It didn't bother me initially but the reason why we filed their N-600 was to make sure, USCIS tracks the kids as citizens and not LPRs. Is there a second, internal database which is showing they received their certificate and the one we have access to is not that important or would I need to schedule an info pass appointment to show they already have it in hand?

I just like to have everything in order in case I am not around one day to help out with all the documents, (paper) trails etc. At the same time, I am still recovering from USCIS and the thought of contacting them is something else...

So you're saying certificates were issued and you're worried about online status for their cases? It just means officer was lazy to press the button to update status. It doesn't matter. Nobody ever going to look at this online status. Kids have proof of their citizenship. Online status is primarily for applicants to track their case. As far as I know, it's nothing to worry about.

Thank you. So should they ever misplace their certificate, the officer will be able to see in their system that they once had one and be able to provide a copy?

Given my teenagers track record, this is a true risk.

Make physical copies of N-600 certificates as well as digital backup in the cloud.

I don't believe officer would be searching their online status. Instead there must be a different database where he'd enter name, date of birth etc and get info about legal status and citizenship. Worst case, again, you'd have copies and could get replacement. Online case status is for convenience, I don't think it has any legal weight.
