Dad just became a US Citizen: Is adjustment of status required for 3 year old child that came to US with mother under Parole CHVN program

Writing for a friend: Dad is a US citizen, wife and son came to the country last year under the Biden Parole program.

He's going to file for Adjustment of status for his wife, what about his son?

Does he just apply for US passport for his son since he's now a US citizen and the child is now in the country?

Is there an option when filing for adjustment of status to add his son to it?

Thank you

Was his son born before or after he got his US citizenship?
