Hey everyone,

I recently noticed that my CEAC status changed from "In-Transit" to "Ready" about a week ago, but I haven’t received any email or notification from the NVC or the embassy yet. I'm wondering if I should go ahead and schedule my interview appointment now or wait until I receive official instructions.

According the embassy website It tells me to schedule an IV intereview is through https://www.usvisascheduling.com/en-US/. But it doesn't specify if I should wait for their email or I can just do it right away.

Any information will be helpful. Thanks!

Hello JeanneAdil. Thanks for the reply. I am at the Bangkok embassy and they had a Visa Navigator that show the website for booking the interview appointment. But nothing says when should I do it tho.

Depends on the type of case - please do fill in your timeline so that people know when you’re asking questions. I think @JeanneAdil is assuming you’re a K1 applicants (who usually have to schedule their own interviews), but if you’re applying for an immigrant visa NVC schedule it for you.

Hello appleblossom. Thanks again for the reply. I am on the employee-based IV (current) with DQ back in late Oct 2024. Just one week ago (not sure the exact date) my CEAC status changed from "In-transit" to "Ready".

OK, then you have to wait until you get your Interview Letter. It’s all set out on the usual website, you’re at step 9/10 now. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-8-scan-collected-documents/step-9-upload-and-submit-scanned-documents.html

I think Bangkok has a fairly lengthy wait unfortunately.

And please do fill your timeline in, there aren’t many of us EB applicants around, so the more data we have the better! Thanks.
