Hello All,
How is everyone doing? I hope all is well, My name is _________ ( I am USA citizen Petitioner). My future spouse is Indian citizen and we have done the K-1 Visa process. She has completed her DS-160 form but problem is when trying to make payment through the www.usvisascheduling.com the payment does not go through, instead it results in error. We contacted U.S Consulate of Mumbai as our case has been transferred there but they said that we should email support-India@usvisascheduling.com and we should get response back in 2 business days - it's been more then a week and still no response. I even contacted USCIS customer support they tried to help me but they could not find solution. I contacted Department of Homeland Security for visa issues and left them a message but no response has came yet. We are totally lost and not understanding what should we do now in our case because I contacted so many organizations, individuals, etc but still the payment is not going through, if payment does not work then she cannot go for interview, biometrics fingerprinting and medical examinations. Please tell solution to this problem as I have no idea what should we do. Also should we be making payment through the https://ceac.state.gov/ or is it through the usvisascheduling.com? Because we been attempting to do it on www.usvisascheduling.com only. For the https://ceac.state.gov it asks us to provide Invoice ID number - I only have USCIS receipt number and Case Number from NVC, and I contacted NVC for the Invoice ID Number but no response yet. It seems like I am going in circles and having no idea what to do next, we are stuck, any tips, advice, and suggestions?

How did you submit payment, credit card or pay cash at a local bank?

In the chat groups I have heard of this issue, one solution is to start a new application in your ustraveldocs account and try to pay again.  I don't recall if this ended up in a double payment, but I believe this resolved the issue.  Also, I have heard of issues with credit card payment, but not with paying in cash at a bank and entering the receipt number.

these are the notes I saved from someone who started a new application:

"So after researching a little I clicked "start new application", this action closed out the old application and started a new form to schedule a new appointment. All the information was prefilled in from the last application except the MNL case number and DS160 confirmation number. I had to re-enter that information.  Once I continued it goes to the Visa Fee payment screen, which I had already paid. Once I selected "credit card" the next screen showed that my payment had already been made and I owed no money. So basically the payment fee reciept # was attached either to the MNL # or the DS160 confirmation #. So I did not have to pay the fee again."

Hello RufusDawes,

Thanks for your reply - I have done that though and it still says Unable to process transaction. Though I have the DS-160 confirmation - it still does not let me pay the fee. Regardless, I have made multiple attempts for customer service and called so many numbers, with no luck. Please advise? We tried to pay by debit card, credit card, UPI service but still same result. I did new application same result.

Two more thought,

Does you case say "Ready" on the ceac website?  I have heard of people having trouble with payments when trying to pay before the "ready" status, and it got to "ready" they could make pament.

Since you have done everything you can think and still no resolution it's time to get your congressman and senators involved, you are their constituent and its their job is to help you in situations like this.

Thread is moved from the K-1 Process forum to the Embassy/Consulate forum -- OP is at that stage.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hi RufusDawes,

I did contact Congressmen and Senators but unfortunately as the case has gone to US Consulate in Mumbai they could do very little. The Ceac website asks for Invoice ID which I don't have and I requested it from NVC still no response. I got Case Number and USCIS Receipt Number. I have the confirmation of the DS-160 but UPI was attempted still no luck.

The K-1 visa application will NOT have an invoice ID. You cannot create an account in CEAC as a K-1 visa applicant as you are not allowed to upload anything there. As asked before, when you check the status of your case in CEAC, does it say "Ready"?
