US Embassy visit required after Visa Medicals appointment (from 14th Feb 2025)

I just booked medical exam at Visa Medicals, a new notice is that from 14th Feb 2025, each applicant is required to visit US Embassy after their medical exam. This is separate from Interview appointment. This early appointment is for immigration staff to verify your civil documents, take biometrics and ensure your case is documentarily complete earlier.

This properly to reduce the time you spend for verifying documents on the date of interview OR we could spend more time for the interview (could be asked more questions? - hopefully it's not)

The document review is only between 12:00 - 13:00. So, ensure all original documents are with you after the medical exam to visit the embassy.

This is an interesting update. (I had my K1 visa interview last August)

Do you mean you have to go the same day after your medical or just some time in between your medical exam and interview? Just curious to know

It says "on the day of medical exam at Visa Medicals", so we should visit the embassy on that day. But the time scale is limited between 12 - 13PM, perhaps if we miss it, we can arrange for another day. I was booking for medical exam early morning, so hopefully I can finish it early. I have attached the notice letter here.

It will be a cause of anxiety to make that one hour window. The medical can go on for a good two hours and it’s a 30 minute taxi trip to the Embassy. You’d need to cram the medical in and be out by 11-30 to get to the Embassy in time. Also if there is a long que and you miss it, then  would you need to return for a doc check another day? If you attended your medical in the afternoon, tricky to judge when the doc check would be complete so as to book Visa Medicals.
for the Embassy, it’s twice the throughput and wow the place has a mass of appointments as it is.
perhaps remote interviews are around the corner…

I was thinking this earlier. When I had my medical I was there for about 1-2 hours.
