Hi all,

My wife's IR-1 interview is coming up soon and I'm preparing the financial docs to send her. Here are my questions about the Affidavit of Support:

1). I uploaded my Affidavit of Support w/ 2023 tax return to the CEAC website for the NVC last May 2024 and now I will send that same Affidavit to my wife and I won't file 2024 taxes to send yet (send 2024 W2s instead) because her interview is before April. My question is, do I update anything on my original Affidavit such as signing it again for this year or anything else I'm not thinking of? Or just send the exact one I already uploaded to CEAC?

2). Also if I decided for any reason to scan and email the Affidavit of Support to my wife, is that okay? I mean does it need an original wet signature?

Thank you so much for any advice!

Good plan, but scan and email her your latest pay stub too.  That's evidence you are still employed and your current income.

Thanks. So no need to update my Affidavit with a new signature/date? I know it's weird question.

Also just to clarify, I don't need an original signature on the Affidavit, in other words I can scan and email without worrying about a wet signature requirement? Not sure if that makes sense. Thank you!

No need for a new affidavit, and no need for wet signature.  Scan and email is fine for this.
