Changing Last Name while I-130 is processing

I am waiting for the approval of my I-130, but am changing my last name now as I am renewing my passport and decided to just bite the bullet and do it. I have my appointment with SSA this friday but how do i notify USCIS of the name change? do i continue to file with my maiden name or my new name after the change?

You don't.  Just use the married name going forward at NVC.  Your marriage certificate is all you need as evidence of name change, but adding the new passport scan would be good.  Truth is, you could have filed under the married name to begin with, if you knew that was your intention.  Same goes for if the beneficiary intends to take a new married name.  File under the name they intend to use.
