Hello,

I am a USC and working on the I-751 right now for my wife and my 14 year old step daughter.

After reading through the instructions, my step daughter I-751 is confusing to me.

- do I prepare and fill out a separate I-751 for my step daughter?

- If I need to fill out a separate form for her, do I include her package with my wife's package as one package or two separate packages?

- Filing fee - is it $750 per person or $750 for both as one package?

- I-751 page 3, Part 3 Basis for Petition.  Do I check box 1b for my step daughter?  Why is my step daughter unable to be included in a joint petition?

- do I mail their package separately or can I mail their package together in the same envelop?

Thank you.

As far as I know, you only file one I-751 petition and pay $750.

1a is the answer for basis of petition.

List child in the Part 5 and check box Yes for question 11 - Is this child applying with you?

Make sure your wife takes part in filling I-751.

It's her and her daughter's petition.

She needs to know all the answers as she ultimately responsible for all of them.

You as a US citizen only sign petition in Part 8.

All other info on the from is from your wife's point of view and knowledge.

Thank you.  I also found more details about the dependent child.

"If you have dependent children who did not acquire conditional resident status on the same day as you or within 90 days thereafter, or if the conditional resident parent is deceased, then those dependent children must each file Form I-751 separately to have the conditions on their status removed."

Because my wife and my step daughter GC has the same expiration date, I will file them in one I-751.  Thank you.

But then on Page 1 of I-751, the petitioner is my wife so Page 1 is all my wife's information.  My step daughter has her own Social Security Number, her own A number, her own USCIS Online account number.  Where do I put my step daughter's personal information in one I-751 form?

Part 5.

Info about children. It asks for A-number for each child.

Social Security number is not something asked on I-751 and isn't related / required for I-751.

As to account, daughter's case is related to mother's case. Progress can be tracked in mother's USCIS account. When conditions are removed for mother, at same time conditions will be removed for child. Child's conditions depend on mother's petition.
