Clarification on Required Documents for My Mom's Interview

I am the petitioner for my mom and would like to confirm if she needs to bring the original documents to her interview, such as my birth certificate, federal tax return, and I-864 form, even though I already uploaded them to the CEAC. Are originals required, or will copies be acceptable?

She should have copies of the documents.  Also, I suggest getting IRS tax transcripts instead of returns, many consulates prefer them.

Tax return transcripts? I was under impression that's exactly what USCIS / DOS prefers.

Sorry, I was in a hurry, I meant that many consulates prefer IRS transcripts.  The same could probably be said of USCIS, but I have seen more stories of beneficiaries getting RFEs for transcripts at the consulate stage than at a USCIS interview for say AOS.

@Erly Ernest You may want to check the list of required documents to be sure which you need. A certified copy is usually what is needed, not just a copy of the original.
