People with I-130 RFE's

I just received an RFE for my I-130 after 3 years of pending - can those people who received such RFE's respond to this - I just want to get an idea of the time line after you send the RFE back. I am assuming that since mine has come after three years, the namecheck is cleared and now its just some document(s) here and there so I just wanted to get an idea of the time line after the RFE.

Three years? Are you a US Citizen or LPR?

US Citizen should have not taken that long, but for an LPR it is understandable, LPRs are not able to get an immediate visa number for the spouse, this is Family second priority, and tends to take a few years.

Family Second Preference (F2): Spouses, minor children, and unmarried sons and daughters (over age 20) of lawful permanent residents. (114,200) At least seventy-seven percent of all visas available for this category will go to the spouses and children; the remainder will be allocated to unmarried sons and daughters.

YuAndDan: Check out their timeline. They filed I-130/I-485 concurrently, so it must be a US citizen sponsoring the green card. Sounds like just a really long name check period.

The RFE can only be a good thing after so long IMHO. At least its a sign someone is working on the case.
