Chicago is only a mail processing center, the case gets sent to Missouri and then on to your local office or CSC for adjudication.

There is only 1 number you can call for info: 1-800-375-5283

It is very early in your process, you sent it in last month so patience is needed, you wont get any info by calling.

:time: Yours shows only visa info. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=33214

There nobody in Chicago you can call. Chicago Lockbox is just a mail room.

The only phone number you can call is the USCIS hotline, beware however that they are essentially useless. What is up with your case that you need to enquire about it? Give us some dwhat your issue is and we may be able to help you. From your timeline in your signature however it would appear that everything is normal for you so far.

It took about 2 weeks for the receipt letter to arrive after check cashed for us, give it some time. USCIS took a big hit before July 30 with case filings to beat the rate hike.

If you failed to include the payment check then your AOS application will be rejected and returned to you... once you have received it back you can then resubmit it including the check....

No, that has absolutely nothing to do with this situation. NOA1s come from Missouri, not California.

that is specific to the CSC. the delay the OP is experiencing is due to the mass influx of applications to Chicago. Itr should be expected by everyone filing now there will be some insignificant delays.
