Hi,

I am sure this topic has been covered before. Please excuse me if this is a repeat question.

I would like to travel to India to see my mom for two weeks. My Green Card has been approved pending a fbi name check. The interview was successful. I would not get the card until fbi clears the background check.

All I have right now is a valid EAD, a valid AP and a valid Indian Passport. Issue is it clearly says on the EAD "Not valid for Re-entry to the US"

Also the Advance Parole document does not sound promising either.

Is it safe to leave the country or should I wait till I receive the GC ?--- which may be from 2 months to years. Depends on the mercy of the fbi/dhs.

I am currently unemployed --- thats another issue. Will they give me a hard time at the airports while entering US?

02/01/2016 - B-2 Visa declined

03/05/2016 - B-2 Visa reapplied

03/18/2016 - B-2 Visa declined

The AP will be needed to re-enter the USA since you don't have the green-card yet. Many get approved pending FBI check and have to wait months to years for the FBI to complete the check.

Yes it is safe to travel using the AP.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
