Drug related questions during interview & at the airport

Hello everyone, hope you guys are doing well. So in my situation I have admitted to previous use to my Physician but according to her secretary my file has already been sent to the embassy and I have my interview in 7 days. In my country we do not have access to the report, and they don't give us a copy or anything. It literally just gets sent directly!

 

So now, I don't know if she left a note about my admission to the use of weed before turning 18, in which i realized that weed was simply not for me. So now I'm kind of scared because as far as I've seen if I admit it to the interviewing officer that could jeopardize my VISA & get it denied. But not only that, same thing could happen at the airport once I would first land in America I could be turned away back to my country and deemed inadmissable for simply admitting to previous use.

 

I do not know how to proceed & obviously I do not want to lie because that could be even worse and would prevent me from being my wife permanently. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated, thank you guys in advance

Almost all the medical facilities are like that. Maybe one or two that might give you a copy. So all that is perfectly normal.

 

It is good you told the truth about the drug use and explained it to the DR. It will all depend on the Country and how the doctors handles similar situations and how long ago that was. They do have some discretions on how it would be labeled in your chart. Then the next part will be at the interview. Depending on the Doctor's notes that is what the Officer will make the call off of. 

 

Now since it is pot you're lucky and you might just have a delay for 6m to a 1yr. Some countries you would have to do random drug tests and redo the medical. One more hoop to jump through but the visa in the end if you pass the medical. 

 

Once you jump through the hoops (if they are required) and you get the visa you will not be turned away at the border for that issue. As you would have already been given the all clear. 

 

If the doctor gave you the all clear at the medical and you get your visa without jumping through hoops. You again are all clear when you arrive at the border. Well that is as long as you don't  do anything to make you inadmissible before entry.

 at interview the medical will be looked at closely for use of drugs

and CO can deny (even if drug free exam ) and make the bene go thru the 1 year process to prove no drug use 

This is even if legal in bene's country or in petitioner's home state, it is not legal under federal law

 

and when asked ,  must admit to using in past
