Last week, my wife and I sent our Adjustment of Status packet (I-485, I-864, I-765) through USPS the the Carol Stream lockbox in Illinois.

We payed for 3 day shipping but over a week later the tracking status hasn't changed from "Moving through network, in transit to next facility arriving late."

We have the receipt and copies of everything but we don't know if it will arrive before my Visa expires, which is at the very beginning of February.
We allowed for over 2 weeks of leeway for the shipment but are now worried what should we do if it doesn't move or arrive on time.

Should we resend? Or should we wait for it to arrive? I understand it could have shipped with nobody marking it as such, but it's just a panic here honestly.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or can offer advice?

K1 visa ?  already expired when u arrived in  US

It's a 1 time entry permit

While technically true, they still are in legal status for 90 days after entry on that visa which is what they are concerned about. OP, do NOT resend the packet at this point. You do not want two AOS packets being processed. Give it a bit of time and remember that Monday was a Federal Holiday. Did you send a G-1145 in with your package to get e-notification of receipt?

Yeah, that was at the top of both the I-485 and the I-765.

We're also watching our checking account for when the Cheques are cashed.

its just the "Still in transit" being stuck on the tracking is causing the worry, that and the fact my 90 days ends at the beginning of Feb.

Like @JeanneAdil mentioned, hang onto your USPS receipt as proof that you filed. The overall risk is pretty low, but since the consequences can be serious I understand your concern 100%. Just try to avoid any encounters with law enforcement and stay away from areas around the border until you get your I-797 Receipt Notice just to be extra cautious.

No.  I would wait.  You don't want 2 packages floating around in the system at this point.

Post marked date matters not when received.

You have proof you filed in your tracking receipt.

You are not "out of status" until day 91 begins at midnight.

Your visa expired the moment you used it.

I would hang tight for now. First, it's possible it was already delivered but tracking wasn't updated (this happened to me recently with passport renewal - I received my new passport BACK and the tracking still didn't show that my application was even delivered). If that's the case, you'll likely get a receipt notice soon and you'll know everything is fine.

It's also possible that has gotten tied up with USPS but will show as delivered any day now. I would give it at least a few more business days before worrying.
