Hi folks, I know people are going to see this post and roll their eyes given the amount of similar posts.

I couldn't help but make this post to see if anyone had any thoughts.

I had my interview for EB3 at the embassy in Islamabad in mid November last year. It has now been around 70 days (I know, this isn't too long but feels like forever) since I was put into AP without any additional documents being requested.

As for my case, I am being sponsored by an employer with whom I have been working since graduating from a US college in 2020. I worked on my OPT till 2022 and then left the US to wait for my case to process (been working remote as a contractor with the same company since then).

I hadn't even thought of the possibility of AP, but as I read about it, it seems like Pakistani males usually go through extensive security vetting? I've had a US tourist visa since I was a kid and had an F1 student visa as well as I attended college in the states, which I had hoped might have made things easier since I was living in the US from 2016-2022.

Any insights or ideas on what to expect or what might have caused AP? If not, I'd appreciate some good vibes and tips on dealing with not knowing where life is headed lol.

Thanks as always

still will be vetting for additional security purposes as u have returned and could have possibly created an issue like travel to other counties on US list of supporting terror or broken the law since going back

it does happen and US , especially with new administration is going to be careful careful careful

they will check and all u can do is wait it out

Long AP is quite common in Pakistan

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Thanks for the response @Boiler  @JeanneAdil

Incredibly frustrating not being able to do anything about it. Started the process in June 2021 and really thought this was done when I got my interview letter lol.

oh well, I’ll just have to continue to be patient. I’ll be sure to update this thread as things progress.
