Hi, I have not seen anyone posting about this issue and would like any support.

The K1 went smoothly for us filing in March and being ready to interview in late August. However next available interview was mid November. My fiance did the medical exam 2 week prior as instructed and was told the sputum tests would take 10 weeks but to go forward with the interview.

She did and was put on 221g until the results came in on 2025-1-3. Dropped off the documents and passport on the 6th at the embassy. They said at that time it would likely be a couple weeks but could take several months and her medical expires 2025-03-26 so she would have to redo it if it expires and repeat this cycle.

We are trying not to panic because it's only been a little more than 2 weeks without word but only see people saying it takes several months on other forums. She will need to interview again and come to the US by the expiration and it's making us nervous. Has anyone been placed on processing for medical results and how long did it take to hear back?

Thank you

Which embassy?
If you're lucky someone recently got approved who went through the same thing (and they can tell  you about it), but we need to know which embassy you are dealing with.

Reading is what? Fun-da-men-tal!

Our Embassy is Manila, Philippines. Sorry I guess I forgot to include that in the post I am new to this site.

Good day! Any update on this one? I am the beneficiary, and I have k2. I want to know how long it took from the time you dropped the documents until Visa on hand so we can plan accordingly. My medical will Expire in June 7. K2 in July 2nd.

Hi I think it was exactly 3 weeks after she dropped off her passport. The online status switched from Ready to Approved and then the next day to Issued.

I appreciate your swift response. Congratulations to you guys! I am a bit concerned since I have been reading updates about this online and some took 2 months. My result is due next week March 7th and I have booked a flight to Manile March 16-17, planning to drop our passporst at Parqal since I did not want to use LBC.

Was your partner able to get the IGRA test and Immunization worksheet as an attachment in the email from SLEC?

Your medical results will be completed on March 7th?

My fiance lives in Angeles so she was able to drop off and pick up her passport herself. This is great because I saw a lot of posts saying they had to wait a couple weeks to get their passport back through the courier.

When she did her initial medical exam back in November she was given all those forms at the end but had to wait the 8 weeks for her sputum test. She didn't know she had the forms and called about it but they told her to check the packet she got from St Luke's.

Sorry for the confusion, yes I was told to expect an Email March 7th, since marks my 8 week from sputum collection.

Jan 2 Medical
Jan 8-10 Sputum Collection
Jan 23 Biometrics
Jan 28 Interview

I only got the Xray CD from St Lukes which was given to me after my Immunization. I read online from others with a similar situation and they said there were no attachments on the email. So I am also planning to drop by St. Lukes on March 17th to ask if I don't get them with the email. I am from Cagayan de Oro City.

Oh ok I understand. I don't know if she got anything in an email she has a folder from St Luke's that has a bunch of documents and the cd. That's where she found her immunization records after she called.

Another thing to keep in mind when you get the results even though every post says they're valid for 6 months or indefinitely. Hers expires in March 25 about 90 days after release.

Thanks for the reminder. I was only given the CD since the small white paper given to me indicated that my IGRA and Immunization Records will be attached in the email. But those who have gone before me said they did not get any attachments. I guess I will just have to wait. Else, drop by St. Lukes.

I am aware that the medical is only valid for 3 months for those subjected under Sputum. If there are no issues, then it is valid for 6 months.
We already booked our flight to WI May 1st, though I know it isn't a good idea. It can get expensive.

It is fully refundable if anything changes.

Yeah probably your safest bet to contact them. As far as I know she had no problems on her sputum test but was still given 90 days.

Regardless I think 3-4 weeks should be expected. I saw people saying a week or 6 months and everywhere in between but never for just the medical. You will likely have to do the CFO seminar too before you leave in May.

You're going to Wisconsin? I'm from there but living in North Dakota for work the last 2 years.

Oh right there is a seminar in Cebu too. My fiance is actually at the airport right now leaving for San Francisco then Denver then Williston, ND where I currently live. It got pretty cold up here but winters ending already.

At the CFO Seminar they gave her this whole list of documents she will need to leave the Philippines like reports cards, financial documents, medical records, etc. She got there and they just looked at her CFO certificate and sent her through l. She was mad lol

I haven't been up by Cadott, I'm from Slinger, over by Milwaukee. After a few more years out here we'll move back to Wisconsin

I guess she had her CFO in Manila. I am sure she's well prepared. Better be safe than sorry.
I brought with me a lot of documents during my interview, none of my Partner's documents were asked from me. I only submitted, Birth Certificate, NBI clearance and Certificate stating I am single. Interview for me and my daughter lasted a couple of minutes only.

I lived in Cebu for 11 years so I know were to go. That it why I opted to get the CFO Seminar from there.

Milwaukee is a couple of hours away from us. Partner went there to watch the Packers if I'm not mistaken.
Can't wait to go camping and experience Ice Fishing for the first time. Hunting ain't for me. Lol

Safe travels to your better half and all the best in your journey!
