Hi all, not sure if this is the right section to ask in, but for my wife's med exam at SLEC in Manila they are asking for her Immunization Records. She doesn't really have a record that she knows of and not sure how to check if she does.

Would this be a problem if she doesn't have one? Thank you!

It wouldn't be a problem. If there is no record and it can be administered, the missing vaccination will be administered.

Make sure to get all required vaccines in Manila as it will cost way more in the US! Not only you'd have to pay to get missing vaccines in the US, but many civil surgeons will require to do another full medical exam which can cost $300-700

Looks like a CR1/IR1 case rather than K1 so it has to be before the move to the US anyway - the visa won’t be issued without the medical being complete/meeting vaccine requirements.

Good point, somehow I missed word "wife" and thought it was K-1 as there are many Manila fiance cases. Thank you!

She can also do an antibody test to check existing immunization status and avoid unnecessary boosters, but most of the common vaccines are perfectly safe to take even if not needed.

That's true. My impresson though test may be more expensive compared to getting vaccine again, delay the process of getting exam completed and, as you said, in most cases there's no harm getting vaccine again.

The only vaccine record Jaycel had when she went to SLEC was her COVID Vaccines so on day 2 of the exam, they administered 5 vaccines and she was all good to go. The cost of the vaccines is included in the medical exam fee so it is way cheaper than getting the antibody tests done.

It just means she will automatically receive "all" of the shots (at no extra cost).  Most likely two, or possibly three shots in each arm 🤣.  She will survive and everything is fine.
