I-134 or I-864? I see both mentioned seeming interchangeably.

Both are needed for K-1, but at different stages.  I-134 is hand carried to interview by beneficiary.  I-864 is sent with I-485 when adjusting status, after marriage.

So they are asking to see I-134 again at US Embassy in Manila for a K1?  I remember for a couple of years they quit asking for them.

 

Do they now send a form letter with requirments for a K1? If so do you have a copy you can post?

Although the OP beneficiary is in the Philippines, the question was not asked specifically for the Philippines, so I answered it in general.  You are correct that Manila typically does not ask for the I-134, but they can, so it is wise to have it just in case.

While Manila EMBASSY doesn't usually ask for I-134, PH specific CFO process usually does. Without it, your partner might not be allowed to leave even if visa is issued.

I-134 if you are at the Embassy step.
I-864 if you are at AOS (I-485) step.
