Updating a mailing address but NOT physcial address - green card holder

Hello,

 

I'm a 10 year green card holder with no active case / application. I would like to update my mailing address, though my physical address has not changed.

 

The paper form AR-11 and the online tool all require a previous physical address and a new physical address. It would seem strange to put the same physical address for both just to provide an update mailing address.

 

Has anybody ever update just a mailing address and what did they do?

That would not be a problem.  People change PO Boxes (mailing address) sometimes.

  Updating a mailing address alone is not an issue, and is common.  The form just verifies that both physical and mailing addresses are correct.
