Applied back in June 2024, so I'm hoping and praying that approval

(NOA2) will arrive soon. Have been browsing this site and finding out

good information.

My question please:  I live in USA, my fiancee is in the Phils ( in the province).

She has a smartphone, no computer at home.  And also no internet cafe.

When the K1 is approved and sent to NVC - am I allowed to fill out DS-160

on her behalf and also pay using my credit card.  I've read that in the Phils,

RCBC is the only authorized bank payment and will issue a receipt for further

appointment scheduling.

Hence, my question if I am to pay here in the US. And after payment do the Embassy

interview appointment, VAC (biometrics) and medical.

Any response is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

The NVC stage can take a few weeks to a few months.  You cannot complete the DS-160 until your MNL case number is assigned by NVC.

Yes, you can fill out the DS-160 for your fiancée.  I did.  You can save it as you go along.  Eventually, you will get to a Sign and Submit page.  At that point, your fiancée can log into the same account, review it, and sign it.  I made all of her appointments for her.

With the new website, you can pay the DS-160 fee online by CC.

I'm just a little ahead of you, got my NOA2 3 weeks ago.

Waiting for case to be sent to NVC, this seems to be taking 4-8 weeks right now.  I didn't account for this early on and was surprised at this delay.

Anyway, seems like NVC to get you at the "ready" stage is another 4-8 weeks.

I have decided that once we get our case number from NVC we will complete the DS160.

Next step is to pay for the visa on the ustraveldocs website, once that is done AND you are at the "ready" stage you can then schedule biometrics and interview.

Medical can be scheduled without an intverview confirmation, but you need to sign a waiver.

Seems like inverview dates are 3-4 weeks out right now.  I plan to schedule then look for cancelations for an earlier date.

My fiance lives in Mindanao, so we will have to do this in two trips:  biometrics/medical, then the interview.

My wife is from Mindanao and we had her stay in Manila for the whole 3 week process when she did her K-1 Medical and Embassy Interview and wait to pick up her passport from LBC in MoA and that was not fun for her. She got pretty bored and was going a little stir crazy LOL
