Indeed, can truly be rest assured if we get the residency card or see it as CARD PRODUCED hahaha.

Was wondering too if they are going to give me a new social security card along with my work permit, i ticked YES as its still on my previous name and its under DHS authorization something before with my J1 VISA  and that was 2 decades ago 😂

Oh the things we do for love 😍🤪

they never made it easy for all of us 😅

The immigration process is definitely not for the faint-hearted 😆 If you ticked the "Yes" box to issue you a new card AND you ticked the "Yes" box for the consent for USCIS to disclose the info to the SSA then you should get a new one. Jaycel received her new card in the mail from the SSA exactly one week after her status changed to "Approved". :)

I know a few in this thread have resubmitted...

We are working on refiling today - are we able to resubmit the same pieces of evidence even though they have scanned it in previously (have the scan marks on the bottom of the pages)? Just trying to limit our environmental impact but also not screw ourselves over :(

Honestly - just overthinking all the things.

I want to say that you can and that's why they want you to submit that neon colored paper on top so that they know it's a resubmission, but I don't know that for sure. I think @KoreaninHawaii had a successful resubmission

I did put the required colored paper on top of my refiling as requested but unfortunately I can't say if you can put the same paperwork with the scan bars on the bottom because when USCIS sent back my paperwork the big enveloped was heavily damaged and most of my paperwork had a good amount of water damage to it so I had to reprint and refill out everything. :( Luckily they put the returned checks and the required photos back inside the small zip-lock back that I sent them in. They only papers that I did sent back was the color paper as required and the NOA's that were sent with it damaged as they were.

Personally for me. I just redid everything I even used the new forms just to be sure. But also I believe they did ask me to use the news ones too in my refiling so I had to reprint everything anyhow. But after that everything went smooth from there. 😊

Just to let everyone know though I'm sure I stated it mine was sent back though due to actually not sending the first page of the I-485 not because I filed out the forms wrong. I was slightly rushing and did overthink filling out all the forms hence why I probably forgot to put the first page in my first filing lol.

Congratulations to everyone who got their EAD approved already!

Did you all have IOE… cases, or another service center?

I had my biometrics appointment 2/10 and received 5 “we have taken an action on your case” emails from USCIS later that day, both the I-485 and the I-765 had updated to actively processing. But I am starting to worry, seeing that most EADs in the timelines are approved within a few days after biometrics, but I have been waiting for over a week.

@agsw

I had 2 IOE cases. One for her I-485 and one for her I-765. It also shows up as a concurrent filing for them on MyUSCIS. My wife also received around the same number of emails. My wife I-765 approval was so quick due to us living in Hawaii and I would assume they just do mostly Hawaii so they have a lower case load compared to some of the other service centers.

Ours are IOE cases also..... That means they were scanned in at the lockbox and are now reposited in the electronic filing system at USCIS

“IOE” stands for Integrated Operating Environment. It just means that your case being processed electronically instead of paper work. Nothing else, processing time and other features are the same in comparison to other receipts numbers.

So are the I-765 cases processed in the local field offices? I thought they are processed in one of the service centers and only the AOS is transferred.

All the mails I received so far(Biometrics appointment letter, online access code, and Receipt notices) was sent from USCIS in Lees Summit, MO, which apparently is the USCIS National Benefits Center.

Most if not all I-765s filed concurrently with I-485 are processed entirely at the NBC.

That’s what I was thinking and what my receipt notices say, I just double checked. Both say NBC. So the applicants location shouldn’t make a difference for the EAD processing time.

“…there should be a barcode at the bottom of the page with the name and address of the Service Center which has taken your case.

I believe that if they determine you need an interview for the I-485 then your case gets transferred to the local field office closest to you

Silly me, did not realize my SS card had already arrived in the mail, the last 2 or 3 days with other mails.. It already reflected my married name, so all good.. now awaiting for the work auth ID, and my husband asked me to stop complaining and refreshing the USPS site as it has changed its ETA from Saturday to Monday now...  🤣

This was both of us waiting to see where Jaycel's was... but it actually paid off. We got the delivery notification and I went running up to the mailbox. As i got there, I saw the mail carrier driving away to go to the other mailbox group in the apartment complex. I opened our mailbox and.... NO delivery from USCIS!!! So I go running down to the other set of mailboxes, showed the carrier the email confirmation and told him that it was not in our mailbox. So he came back up and opened the whole section of boxes and pointed to our box and said, "See? It's right..... uh-oh....". Turns out he put it in the box above ours 🤪 So our obsession with the tracking actually paid off in this instance :D
