One more thing.  The period of "authorized stay" is granted by policy of The Attorney General.  I have not found any other source for it in the actual law....

So don't leave the house. Got it. LOL

I once was thinking they could have like visa extension status for k1's.. marrying within 3 months then an official extension until residency is achieved so we can all rest easy and stress free, it feels like we are in a limbo of having no status, since our visa stay duration is expired but covered by some pardon since application is going on. 😂  and i cant just be not going out...that will drive me nuts... i wanted to start looking for work...

speaking of work, can we start applying and just note that work authorization is under process? Or better wait for the papers?

And i can truly breathe easy if I get my residency, so its going to be a whirlwind of chaos in my head. 🤯🥴

I just carry with me the notice/ acknowledgement form, folded and place it in my wallet everytime. And also on my phone, then we could definitely show too the USCIS official app.

Jaycel didn't start applying until her I-765 showed as "Card Produced" on the case status. She got a job within a couple of weeks of when she started applying and they definitely needed her SS Card and the EAD when she went for her onboarding.

Today I got my rejection notices in the mail. It says that USCIS will take no further actions. We were under the impression that rejected packets would be returned to the sender. This notice seems to state otherwise.
Should we assemble and send a new packet or should we wait to see if our rejected packet will be returned?

For me the first time I sent my paperwork in they sent everything back but also stapled the I-797C to the associated paperwork but mine was sent back due to forgeting to attach the first page of my wife I-485  and was suppose to use the update forms and the I-765 cannot start processing due to the I-485 being sent back to me.

I actually never received any rejection letters or notices just all my paperwork sent back in 1 big white envelope.

we also got our entire packet back for using wrong forms and an I-797 stating so all in the same envelope

it sounds like you have to reassemble and send it again

did the rejection letter say anything about why it was rejected?

They send the rejected packets back to you.... Usually they include a cover sheet that says to include it with your resubmission from what I've read. @KoreaninHawaii did yours have that sheet that said to put it on top of the resubmission?

ahh

they probably shredded your original package along with the checks i would think since they didn't send it back with the rejection letter

so you'll need to re do it.

and maybe do money order/cashiers check this time?

@Edward and Jaycel Yes. Had the coversheet with the returned paperwork and was asked to put on top of the resubmission which I did. Did not have any problems with my paperwork after that.
