Can't you see the appointment notice in the documents tab in the portal?

Unfortunately I cannot. My wife did create a MyUSCIS account but when I try to add the cases for her it's asking for the online code that's in the mail. Going to check my mail soon to see if I get but they only mailed out my notice on 1/31/2025 so it might be awhile still.

Go on uscis.gov, go to the "Ask Emma" chat, ask to be connected to a live agent and ask for the online access code. Your wife will have to make the request because it is her application. I actually did all the typing for my wife on the request with her sitting right next to me so it was all legit. Have the receipt number for the I-485 and all your wife's info handy. That's how we got Jaycel's online access code

Tried that actually. Unfortunately the agent did not give me the online access code.

You should try again, this is a completely legitimate way to get the code.

 

Explain that you have to make travel arrangements for the biometrics.  If anything, maybe the agent can assist with giving you the appointment date if not the code itself.

Just keep spinning the wheel and try new agents.  Someone will assist you.

Yes… you have to keep trying. It took us 3 attempts I think before we got an agent who would give us the code. Remember… give no indication that you are the applicant’s husband. They will not give the info to anyone but the applicant. Like I said, I did all the typing in the chat but I was chatting as if I was Jaycel. I had her sitting there next to me to make it all legitimate but I was typing everything as if I was her.

Try again and again. I did got it one take tho I waited atleast 20 mins to get to an agent as there was a long queue. Explained to them that I need to know as I need to log in. Biometrics schedule has been done but since I dont have the receipt paper I cant access or linked the app. We first went on to circles, like agent asking me so are you requesting for a new one. I just agreed and can you share me that access code.. then went to your mail is on its way, then I went to say, yeah but its taking time in  our area, please share so i can just linked it in my USCIS app..then proceeded to recheck some vital info about me and later on shared. So that was good. So another 15 mins conversation 😅

 

Just be patient.

Might not have to contact USCIS via live agent. USPS does informed delivery in my area and it show my notices from USCIS should be delivered today so I will go check later this afternoon since that's when most of everyone mail is delivered by then.

Received 4 letters today from USCIS. Got my online code to add the case to her MyUSCIS account and her biometrics appoint was scheduled on 2/18/2025. 🥰

Lol my boss isn't going to be exactly thrilled for me asking for time off again so soon too. Also going to try to get her Philippines passport updated with my last name since the consulate isn't too far away and I will already be there for the day. Might as well try to.
