Just filed my N-400 under the 3 year marriage rule.  I have a pending I-751 removal of conditions.   I filed with a lawyer.  She did state on the cover letter that I had the pending I-751, which I read is the signal to USCIS to adjudicate them together, if possible.

How will I know if my interview is a combo interview?  Will it be explicitly stated on the interview notification letter?  My plan is to bring my wife to the interview regardless, but as some of you might know, they're very strict on who can come into the USCIS building.  I will of course be prepared in case they don't allow my wife in, but I was curious about what people that have had the combo interview and what their experience was.

I have never heard of a spouse being denied entry into a USCIS field office building.   Are you maybe thinking of consulates?

Hmm.  No, I don't think so.  I've read a couple of reports in another forum where the spouse was turned away because they were not asked to be there.

But the main part of my question is if the interview notice letters states if it's going to be a combo interview or you just bring your spouse even if it doesn't specifically state it.

Bring your spouse regardless.   The letter may not specify.

Come prepared for a combo interview.  That means bring spouse and all I-751 evidence.

You can upload a letter requesting a combo interview in your N400 online page.  That may or may not guarantee a combo interview, but it helps to show you understand the fact that you have two petitions pending.

Exactly!  I included a request for a combo interview with wife's N-400.  Two days before her N-400 interview, I received an email from the local office informing me to be there for a combo interview.

The answer is this varies by office/location.

I was not allowed to enter the building for my husband's N-400 interview in 2023. Security told me they would let me know if I was needed (I wasn't).

I (and everyone else there with a spouse/loved one) watched the citizenship ceremony through the windows.
