If it makes you feel better, USPS never marked my i751 package as picked up (only as delivered). 4 days after it was delivered, I got notified by text/email that they had taken action on my case. I also didn't have a USCIS account number, I assume they use your A-number to link it together.

im so worried that they might not send a text or an email! And i’ll be left wondering what happened to my case. If the only correspondence they’ll ever do is via paper, it’ll take 4-8 weeks before i know anything - and my green card is ‘expiring’ in 8 weeks

Live in Phoenix, a funny story for you all: I went to the USCIS UPS DHL FedEx physical location to try to drop off the package (pre-paid UPS label on the package), saw the DHL guy was delivering the international I751 packages to the dock and the mail room guy was signing and moving the packages, I talked to the mail room guy, he talked to USCIS office in the building if he could accept personal drop off and confirmed with me that USCIS wanted tracking info, even I was under their office they could not accept it lol. Finally I gave to the UPS truck man who was there later, but he told me even he was on the delivery address he still needed to send the whole package to the processing center and delivery tomorrow. He delivered next day, and I spent 6 bucks for UPS ground shipping (for a 3 feet distance shipping XDDD) by using cheap UPS label service online websites lol

BTW, I recommend you all use FedEx or UPS, they will deliver to the USCIS office directly, so the case can be processed faster than USPS. However, USPS is for budget option

Timeline:

I-751 with I-912 fee waiver, G-1145 attached but no notification

01/13 - shipped

01/14 - delivered (Phoenix, AZ)

01/27 - received USCIS "take an action on your case" email, checked USCIS online and the case was added to my USCIS account, it means fee waiver was approved so they processed the I751, the case received date was 01/14 which was the delivery date, no G1145 text or email notification, the online documents (NOA, extension, etc.) are not available yet

That’s because it’s not USCIS there in the first place.

It’s a mailroom owned & operated by a lockbox contractor whose “primary” job is to accept & verify your payment and send a preliminary receipt. They’re instructed by USCIS to accept incoming mail and process them. Additionally, USCIS is not their only client, they probably accept tons of lockbox mail.

Once the fee goes through and your signed petition is uploaded to USCIS systems, they take over. Unsure what you intended to do here.

Not true..

i went inside the building and noticed there had a  real USCIS office instead of the lockbox, I asked the front desk if I could visit inside and he told me unless I was invited I could not went inside, and it was USCIS so high security reason no public visit

just like USCIS asylum office, they have a real office inside the building at a floor at the location, it is just not for the public like asylum office

Btw I just shared my timeline here

Update:

01/28 - received G1145 text message with case number in the morning around 7, so online account updated earlier than G1145, but G1145 is still working if you don’t have the online account

Thanks for the report. Though, G-1145 works half of the time anyway... I suspect phone carriers and email providers often block USCIS correspondence as spam.

Just some DPs from me to use G-1145, I have the record:

2018 I-765 - Google Voice, no notification;

2020 I-765 - Red Pocket (T-Mobile MVNO), none;

2022 I-765 - Visible (Verizon MVNO) Received notification;

2022 I-485 - Google Voice, none;

2023 I-131 for travel document, US re-entry permit - T-Mobile, received;

2025 I-751 - T-Mobile, received.

It seems like the virtual landline providers, like Google Voice, cannot receive the notification, MVNO and direct provider are half-half, but still a good try if no online account!

Adding us to the list -

1/21 - i751 sent to Carol Stream, IL

1/22 - delivered (were we supposed to receive an update that says its been picked up by somebody?)

no texts (even if we attached a G-1145), no updates by email, and reading all the mini updates people are getting from uscis makes me a little paranoid!

We did not input any USCIS acct # because we couldn’t find our old one. Does this mean we’ll only receive correspondence by mail?

Update!

1/28 (4 days after packet was delivered to Carol Stream, IL) - had a chat with an agent via Emma and got my IOE/receipt number! A couple of hours after that I also got a text from USCIS mentioning ‘case received.’

We tried binding the case to my husband’s old USCIS account (the one we used for CR1 process) but it leads to an error page that says ‘this case is already assigned to an account’ or something. I messaged an agent via Emma again and the agent basically told me that it has to be tied to MY account, and that no Online Access Code (OAS) is available to me yet (i have a USCIS account but forgot/have no OAS) - I have to wait for the actual paper receipt.

2025-01-22: I-751 Remove Conditions sent via FedEx

2025-01-23: I-751 received/signed Elgin, IL

So my foreign spouse received an email notification today (1/28/2025) to login to my.uscis.gov, and got the receipt number even though the check had been not cleared.

It looks like our receipt starts with IOE********** so it is the National Benefits Center?

The exact message is:

January 23, 2025

Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Sent On January 23, 2025, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number IOE**********, and sent you a receipt notice or acceptance notice. The notice describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

The receipt / extension letter will list actual service center at the end of it.
