I also sent in a G-1145, with my pack. Received a text message today around 1pm that the case has been received. Package was sent by USPS express mail on 1/14 arriving with them on 1/16. So, it looks like the G-1145 is working, at least at Elgin!

Update to our case, for those following timeframes etc.

01/14 - Package sent to Carol Stream, IL

01/16 - Delivered

01/22 - Text Message received (G-1145)

01/23 - Check cashed

01/24 - USCIS Case Tracker confirmed status changed to Biometrics Scheduled (For 02/11)

01/27 - Chat with agent via EMMA and received my online access code - Biometrics Notice, Receipt and Green Card Extension all held in my online account

01/31 - Receipt and Biometrics Documents received in Post

02/01 - Green Card Extension Document received in Post

Service Center is the National Benefits Center (NBC).

Now the long wait begins, but glad to have received everything so quickly, as due to travel in a couple of months, so no worrying about receipt of original extension letter or missing the biometrics appointment.

Interesting that USCIS only uploaded 1 electric bill to the my.uscis.gov documents tab.

Did anyone else have USCIS upload more of your evidence sent with your I-751?

So my Timeline is now:

2025-01-29: I-751 check cashed.

2025-01-28: email notification to login to my.uscis.gov.
Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Sent On January 23, 2025, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number IOE**********

2025-01-23: I-751 received/signed Elgocuments tabin, IL

2025-01-22: I-751 Remove Conditions sent via FedEx

So we received in the mail the I-797C for Biometrics reuse, but we have not yet received the 48-month extension letter on the official watermark paper in the mail.

In case we do not receive the 48-month extension letter, can we print a copy of the 48-month extension letter file from my.uscis.gov document tab and use that for travel?

This happened to me. The original 797 extension later showed up in the mail 3 days later after the biometric-reuse notice.

You can use online version of your extension letter for everything EXCEPT travel. Airlines & CBP do not accept anything other than the original I-797 as a valid extension. But you can use the online version to, say, renew your driver license etc.

You can at your own risk. Considering extension letter is printed on protected watermarked paper, it might be obvious when you show a self-printed copy.

Airlines accept originals. I'm not aware of them being required to accept copies. I remember somebody reported success on VJ. But considering some people with expired GC and original extension letter having problem occasionally, I can see how an airline can deny boarding

I bet some DMVs and employers would not take self printed copies. It's just they're not as detail oriented as airlines or CBP and you can get lucky.

They just don’t care enough. They’re required to run everything via SAVE, and they’re explicitly told to run Green Cards through SAVE even if expired so I presume they take the printed version at face value and run the receipt number through SAVE.

Live in Phoenix, a funny story for you all: I went to the USCIS UPS DHL FedEx physical location to try to drop off the package (pre-paid UPS label on the package), saw the DHL guy was delivering the international I751 packages to the dock and the mail room guy was signing and moving the packages, I talked to the mail room guy, he talked to USCIS office in the building if he could accept personal drop off and confirmed with me that USCIS wanted tracking info, even I was under their office they could not accept it lol. Finally I gave to the UPS truck man who was there later, but he told me even he was on the delivery address he still needed to send the whole package to the processing center and delivery tomorrow. He delivered next day, and I spent 6 bucks for UPS ground shipping (for a 3 feet distance shipping XDDD) by using cheap UPS label service online websites lol

BTW, I recommend you all use FedEx or UPS, they will deliver to the USCIS office directly, so the case can be processed faster than USPS. However, USPS is for budget option

Timeline:

I-751 with I-912 fee waiver, G-1145 attached but no notification

01/13 - shipped

01/14 - delivered (Phoenix, AZ)

01/27 - received USCIS "take an action on your case" email, checked USCIS online and the case was added to my USCIS account, it means fee waiver was approved so they processed the I751, the case received date was 01/14 which was the delivery date, no G1145 text or email notification, the online documents (NOA, extension, etc.) are not available yet

Update:

01/29 - 48 months extension letter is available online

01/31 - biometric appointment scheduled, receipt date 02/01, appointment date 02/20

02/03 - walk in biometric appointment with online print out letter at Phoenix ASC without any issue, received extension letter in mail. case updated to actively review online, received multiples ghost USCIS action was taken emails, one after biometrics, several after an hour to two hours which may relate to background check result

I will keep update and good luck everyone!

It really depends on the state policy and the officer who is processing the driver license. Several years ago from what I know In CA they did not care and always release full term DL for GC holder, even some i485 EAD holder but not sure about the new real ID policy due to move out. For AZ, I just used print out version without any issue to extend my non real ID DL for 48 months, they did not run SAVE for non real ID DL in AZ, only for real ID
