RFE for I-864 (appears generic? no specific requirements listed)

Current income is the only qualifier and they cannot second guess the poverty guidelines. 

Just respond to the RFE and state that it was issued in error. 
‘State her current income is X , as evidenced by the paystubs ( include only 2 recent ones). Her position as (title) with Employer Name is full time at $xyz per (hour?) .If you can provide Job Letter , great otherwise no big deal

 

Include A copy of the 1040 tax return and W-2 as filed , noting that IRS transcript and W-2 was also included at filing. 

 

If no errors on I-864 resubmit form ( unless revision date is not current ) and state form was correct and duly executed at following and reflect : Current household of 2 

 

It does happen that person reviewing makes an error , but a clear concise response puts you back on track without delay. 
 

Whatever changes are coming ( and there will be many), they will not impact you until they publish policy. So hurry up and respond
