Hello everyone,

I'm currently completing Form I-751 to remove the conditions on my residence, and I find myself in a unique situation where I need some guidance please.

After receiving my green card in 2023, I was offered an amazing opportunity to work with an American humanitarian organization overseas to support the Ukraine crisis. As a result, I lived in Europe for one year with my husband (US citizen). Now, regarding question 22 of the form: "Have you resided at any other address since you became a permanent resident?" - I need to answer "YES" and "provide a list of all addresses where I have resided since becoming a permanent resident, along with the dates, in Part 11, Additional Information".

My question is:

  1. Should I include an explanation about why I was living in Europe, such as my employment and the fact that my husband was with me? or just the address and that's it?
  2. Part 11 doesn’t have enough space for a detailed explanation. Should I attach an additional sheet to clarify my situation? Or will I just make it more complicated?
  3. I had obtained an approved I-131 Travel Authorization knowing I would be overseas for more than six months. Should I mention this as part of my explanation to avoid any issues with USCIS in the added sheet?

Any advice on how to present this information clearly in my application would be greatly appreciated. I want to ensure everything is accurate and avoid any complications in my case with USCIS.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Just provide all addresses. They know about the I31. Use the  additional info section to briefly document the temporary absence and your intent to reestablish your domicile in the US prior to the expiry of the reentry permit.
