What’s her current status? You should be able to file concurrently.

How did she enter the US and how long has she overstayed? Should be fine for you to petition her but just checking.

thank you .  filing i 130 online and i485 by mail  does it cover my wife against deportation she is an overstayed visa b1

It would depend on the answer to my question above which you’ve not answered. How did she enter the US, presumably as normal on her B2 i.e. through an airport POE? How long has she overstayed?

 

Should mean she’ll be fine once it’s filed, but don’t wait any longer, get it filed urgently - with the incoming new administration next week, you really don’t want her to be in the US illegally.
