Ok, bear with me now. I might have asked this before, I don't know. But does my Fiancee in Morocco need a police certificate from his home town? He has lived in Tangier for 7 years (he is 34 years old). Or does he need to go and get one from when he was 16 years old? Also, everything has to be translated into English right? Does he really need a paper saying he is single or whatever that paper is called?

Please let me know and thanks

from my ds-230 instructions, you have to go on travel.gov etc...site...search for Applicants documents processing...there is a place where you put the 1st 3 letters of your NVC case number (it's 1st 3 letters of the consulate where he will do the interview), then you search for the documents they ask for the country...In my case, for the PC they asked to contact local police office and go from there by explaining them (procedure in hand) what you need to be done. Typically, if no criminal record, only pc without fingerprints, if yes, then with fingerprints...and NVC wants it to be don overall the country, not only locally.... And yes it's where he lived from 16 yrs and up...and more then 6 months or 1 year if in another country...

The paper didn't ask if single per se...only (like in the instructions)...only put all names and surnames used...from which they have to do their check...Consult also the guides in this thread up on here..

What is considered a 'Location'?

My fiancee has lived in several cities (all within the state of Rio de Janeiro) and different addresses in those cities (maybe 4 in total) since she was 16. Does she just need one Federal Police report or one from each city or ???
