Hello everyone,

Great news—my fiancé successfully passed her K1 visa interview yesterday! 🎉

I was wondering if anyone has any recent data points on the timeframe from the interview to receiving the visa in hand? I've checked the forums, but the timelines seem to have varied quite a bit over the years.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

In August 2024, Jaycel had her interview on a Tuesday, case status showed "Issued" on Friday and it was ready for pick up at the LBC Branch in MOA on the next Tuesday (FYI it would have been there that Monday but it was a Philippine National Holiday if I remember correctly). A girl she met at the embassy also doing a K-1 had her status go to "Issued" the next day, Wednesday, and had hers in hand on that Friday

It varies from person to person.  The Embassy is incredibly inconsistent.  Probably a majority of people see CEAC status changed to "Issued" within a day or two and receive their passport with visa within a week.  But there is also a sizable number who inexplicably take anywhere from two to six weeks with no explanation or outwardly identifiable differences from those who got issued in two days.  Hope for the best but don't make any difficult to change plans until you have the actual visa on hand.

This is fantastic news!! So happy for you guys :) If I can give one piece of advice, once she gets to the US, the 90 days is going to go by in a flash and you will be doing yourselves a favor if you start thinking about and planning for the Adjustment of Status process now so that you're not scrambling at the end of the 90 days to get the filing done. Best of luck to you guys and keep us posted on the CFO process and the journey to the US!+
