Hello, everyone,

I have a question it just seems weird to me. I just paid my $70 fee for the AOS fee and returned my DS-3032. But today I recieved the next fee for $380.00. Shouldnt I receive the I-864 first? Then this? Im not sure but I dont think it makes sense! Did they forget to mail it to me?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide

Dear Vonnie,

First let me tell you I thought it was backwards to but that is the payment for the visa and the interview in whatever country they are in promise. I am done with my process and finally my husband is going to be coming home soon, when I say we just got done I mean yesterday we got the call from the embassy and today he took his passport and Insha'Allah that we will get his passport back tomorrow. So the best advice I can give is to pay it and pay it quickly the faster you move the faster they will move to because it's going to go pretty quick from here on in at least it did for us. God willing it will for you too.

Thank you for your reply Keandra

But they told me they mailed the form I-864 on this date of the letter I got today. But this is not the I-864 so whats wrong? Wheres the form? Im glad your husband had his visa approved and will be wtih you soon! But I dont think this process will go that fast for me! I know someone still waiting for a date since early January and the NVC now will not even answer their questions or anything really rude to her. Thanks for your help!

Just wait a few more days. The NVC is sometimes a little chaotic, so don't worry about it. This just means you'll be done more quickly if you're lucky.

If you don't get the I-864 2 weeks after they mailed it, give them a ring. Or you can self-generate using James' Shortcuts...

Vonnie,

The I-864 and IV Bill are not related. There are two independent tracks.

Read the NVC Flowchart

Don't expect packages and forms to arrive in a particular order by considering both tracks together. Treat them separately.
