I called the USCIS hotline, got through to an agent by saying I wanted to update details. Agent gave me an access code but it’s not adding to my account. May not be the latest code?

Are you a US citizen? If yes, you can't register this case under your existing USCIS account. Your immigrant spouse should create their own account and add the case there with their information such as DOB, because N-400 is their case.

No, I am a foreign national with a GC for 5 years. The last case listed on my USCIS account was for removal of conditions.

Are you entering date of birth correctly? Is it listed on N-400 correctly?

Yes, month/day/year.

The account is now locked for 20 mins due too many incorrect tries (entering same info). Is the access code case-sensitive?

Received the new access code via email after requesting it online yesterday. Case added to online account, biometrics reused and now awaiting interview scheduling.

Noticed two inbound letters from USCIS arriving today. May be the access code and notification of reused biometrics. Will update.

It’s valid for 90 days as per USCIS.

I filed for N400 on 1/19/25

My I-751 has been pending for almost 4 years at this point, so filed to speed up. Just got an update today that my interview has been scheduled for 3/24/25. Much quicker turn around time.

Is there anything I need to do to request I duel interview? Or will they just do it there? Or do it then wait for my I-751 to be processed?

I feel in any case I should prepare for a dual interview and be prepared. Does my spouse need to be with me? We live 90 minutes away from Louisville where the interview will be and we have tow young children.

I am excited but also very nervous to what to expect.

Combo interview. Yes, spouse needs to come with you, especially because you have I-751 pending. Otherwise IO may not approve the case.

You don't have to take kids. If somebody can watch them while you're away, it should be OK.

You could have requested combo interview when filing N-400 by uploading your I-751 receipt notice in additional / unsolicited evidence section in your application and writing a short cover letter asking to have a combo interview due to pending I-751.

I'd imagine your interview is already scheduled and it would be difficult to change anything.

Be prepared to do combo interview (I-751 and N-400). But also your I-751 may get approved before interview or after interview with N-400 waiting for the outcome of I-751. It's hard to predict what exactly would happen. Too many moving parts.

Good luck!

Just to clarify this for anyone filing. A few hours before speaking to an agent on the phone, I used the message service on USCIS to request an access code. The agent gave me the correct access code, it was the same one that arrived in the mail a day later, however this code had been reset due to my message request which is why it no longer worked.

Can anyone confirm if the 2008 version last updated 08/21 is the correct list of questions for the interview? Mine is coming up i a few weeks and want to be sure I am studying the correct material.

Did you file in Jan 2025 and already have your interview coming up? Dayum, that’s fast. Also I think the version hasn’t changed yet
