N-400 January 2025 Filers

I am starting this topic as I filled for naturalization on 1/1//2025! 

 

My I-751 is still pending and I received the 48 months extension. Filled 80 early and I married a US citizen.

We filed for citizenship on dec. 20th of 2024.  We just got biometrics notice of fingerprints being applied to our application.  We don't have to go for biometrics which is nice.

Hello everyone, 

I submitted my N-400 online a few days ago under the three-year rule (I’m married to a U.S. citizen), received a biometric reuse notice and my case changed status to `case is being actively reviewed by USCIS`. Estimate decision time on the portal ~6 months. I still have I-751 in the same `case is being actively reviewed by USCIS` since January 2024 so I also submitted a request for a combo interview. 

 

Timeline:

Jan 7 – submitted case online,

Jan 7 – received NOA1 with case #,

Jan 7 – received biometric reuse letter.

I submitted my N400 (3-years rule) on January 11th. For some reason USCIS showed that it is January 12. I still have my i-751 pending, so I requested combo interview.

but here is my timeline 

Jan 11 – submitted case online,

Jan 11 – received NOA1 with case #,

Jan 11 – received biometric reuse letter.

When you filed, was it January 12th already in New York (Eastern Time)?

 

For example, you filed at 10pm on January 11th in Los Angeles.

That was also my thought, but no. It was about 10pm January 11th in NY. My application date, my payment receipt everything shows January 12.

Hi everyone!  Today we filed for my wife's N-400 online.  Due to COVID, my wife didn't get her interview for her GC until after we were already married for 2 years.  She was issued a 2 year GC incorrectly, which we had to file to have this error fixed via an I-90.  She now has her 10 year GC.  We are hoping the N-400 goes more smoothly.

Good morning! 
Yesterday I filed for my naturalization! I have been eligible for a couple of years (under the marital rule), but I didn’t feel rushed to file until now.

I decided to file under the 5 year rule to make it a bit simpler. 
 

I got several emails that my case had an update, but I see 0 updates and my case is stuck under “Profile>Pending Cases” in MyUscis, when normally it would be in the main page of my account. 
I also don’t see any information about these alleged “case updates”. 
 

Anyone else having the same thing going on?

Oh my,  I am an idiot. I did not realize that all of this info was in my home page, just at the very bottom! I didn't even think to check until now because my home page was in chronological order and the N-400 should've been at the top.
Oy...!

 

They waived my biometrics, yay!

Timeline:

Jan 16 – submitted case online,

Jan 16 – received NOA1 with case #,

Jan 16 – received biometric reuse letter.

 

Hoping to have a better experience than the ROC which took forever.
