Just spotted this comment. So your spouse is living in the UK now? What evidence did you provide that his/her salary will continue when s/he returns to the US - maybe it wasn’t enough proof and that’s the problem?

Yes, spouse is in the UK. So any salary will end once in the U.S., but the AOS was based on passive income that will continue Stateside. The thing that gets us is that we have not been given the option of showing assets, which would easily fix this. The bit; 'Joint Sponsor' is ticked on the green form, even though I mentioned to the CO that we have assets. You'd think that you'd first look to the household income/resources before looking to a 3rd party.

I'll do a proper post and hopefully someone will have some advice.

Thank you

I know very little about spousal financial sponsorship (mine was employment based and self sponsored, so no financials required). But there are lots of people who will be able to help suggest a way forward for you I’m sure, best of luck to you.

I have a rescheduled interview for January 16th. I remember last time, that an email appointment confirmation was sent early in the morning to me 14 days before the interview that I had then subsequently cancelled. I have the appointment confirmed via the appointment scheduling website, (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/users/sign_in) along with the courier confirmation page, but no email yet. I know that the email is needed, along with the courier confirmation for the interview and to be allowed access to the Embassy.

Has anyone experienced delays with getting their email from: lndivsubmissions@state.gov, that confirms the date and time of the interview and also contains all the steps to complete?

With New Year, I maybe jumping the gun and need to wait a day or two, but it would be nice to be in receipt of that email.

Hello

How did you manage to book an appointment? The AIS website always shows me that the system is busy, try again later.

Was there a particular time you choose to login and book?

Yes, I was able to do so, visa now in hand. The problem I had was that I had no email confirmation from the embassy, just the ais appointment site with courier confirmation. Ultimately, I didn’t need the embassy email. I expect aid is down for maintenance this morning, I’d try later this afternoon.

Note that Tesco had to reschedule his/her own interview after cancelling the original one, which I don’t think is your situation? So you can’t book it yourself, you need to wait for it to be scheduled by NVC.
