Hi all,

Thank you so much for any advice. So finally the NVC sent me an email that told me they expedited my wife's IR-1 case to the Manila Embassy and told me to wait for a notification from the embassy regarding the Interview date. I still have not received any notification from them, but I have been told on this forum that they are not consistent at sending notifications at the right time so once my wife's visa status changes to "Ready" that this means we can schedule the interview online as well as the medical, etc. So yesterday I realized that it now does say "Ready," but I just wanted to confirm that I can go to the online appointment website at  USTravelDocs to schedule it without worrying about waiting for any official word from the Manila Embassy itself? Thank you!

Congrats! They say to book the appointment nowadays you should check every couple hours for openings due to cancellations. Once you get the appointment I would book the medical for about 1 week before. The visa validity date starts on that date, so it will be good for 6 months from the start of the medical.

Thank you for the help. I am having my wife work through the Visa Application part of the USTravelDocs new visa appointment system and we are stuck on the step where it asks for who your dependents are on the Visa. I believe the step is called "My Dependents" but I have attached a screenshot to show what I mean. We have a daughter and of course she is a dependent of my wife in the Philippines, but she has a CRBA from me (US Citizen) so she does not require any immigration. Would we add her on this step or just leave it blank? Thank you again!

Thank you for all the useful information! Me and my wife are working through the process of the new Visa Appointment system and trying to see the available dates for appointments now.

Leave it blank, she (your daughter) is not immigrating. Only your wife.
