Confused to file adjustment

Guys, I need help, I use to be a wiz at immigration but things have changed.  I'm helping my sister to adjust via her son.  She will be submitting I-130, G-1145, I485, I765, I131, I864 (1 for her son and 1 a joint sponsor).  I think 130 is $675 and I485 is $1440

 

My questions are:

Do we need to pay for I765 ($260)  (I've read it's no longer free with I485)?

Do we pay for I131, if yes then we will just omit (not really necessary)

Is it mandatory to now include medical I-693 with this initial packet or can it be submitted after?

Don't forget I-130A.

 

Yes, both I-765 and I-131 now require fees even if filed together with I-485.

 

Both are optional, but you know better whether there are old parents etc back in immigrant's country of origin. In those cases, I-131 isn't a bad idea.

Everyone is in USA, so she don't need to travel.

 

Why is I130A necessary that seems to be for spousal.  Our case is son/mother.

What about I693 is it mandatory to be included in I485 packet.

Yes, I-693 is now mandatory to be included.

If cost was a concern, she should have petitioned him for a proper immigrant visa, instead of adjusting from an overstay.

You have it backwards. Son's the petitioner, mom's the beneficiary. (So it's an IR-0 case)

If I were to guess she entered a long time ago, gave birth, and kid either turned 21 or is about to. Or they both overstayed, son turned into an adult, married a citizen, adjusted, naturalized, and is now petitioning the mother.

1. Yes you have to pay for the I-765.

2. Yes you have to pay and yes you can omit it.

Doesn’t matter.   Someone is adjusting from a nonimmigrant visa, rather than being petitioned.  So-  the trade off to waiting out the queue overseas is the extra expenses.
