Hi all

My parents want to apply for US visitors visa from India. My dad is employed but my mom is a housewife she is dependent on my dad. Is it possible to show funds in my dad's account for my mom's visa ?

Is there anyone who has experience with parents applying for US visitors visa from India?

Been a while but I do not remember that question being asked.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Yes, they should tell why they want to visit ( tourism) . If your dad has a job it means he has a strong root to go back to India. Shouldn’t be any problem. File DS-160. Lot of videos available online about the process.

You mean a joint account?

Yes, she can file based on your dad. Carry all property documents they have. It’s almost 400+ days waiting to get an appointment ( Mumbai embassy).
