Hi everyone.

I have my N-400 (application for naturalization) interview in two weeks but my I-751 hasn't been approved yet.

My interview notice stated I have to bring some documents (marriage certificate, birth certificate, passport, etc.) but it didn't even state anything about my husband (the U.S. citizen) having to come.

It seemed like it implied I was going alone to the interview.

I'm not sure what to do besides study. Should I be prepared incase the officer is also going to do the I-751 interview? Am I supposed to bring my husband and just have him wait in the waiting room just in case? So, I basically have to take extra documents (proof of marriage) as well just in case he wants to ensure I'm still married I suppose?

Thanks a lot.

Yes

Yes

Yes

The N400 will never get approved if the I-751 is not approved so go with spouse in case it's a combo interview. Some officers will acknowledge the existence of the I751 and approve it before continuing to the N400 interview. Some will conduct both interviews. Some will conduct just the N400 and send you home and approve the I-751 while you are gone, etc. There are many variations as to how this can go but go in prepared for a combo interview. If combo doesn't happen it's not the end of the world, the I751 will get approved soon afterwards or the interview will happen sooner.

Good luck.
