After arriving in the US on a IR1/CR1 visa you're supposed to receive the LPR Card (Green Card) within 90 days if you paid your immigrant fee. Is there any way to track the status of when USCIS produces the card? Or, when it is shipped through USPS do you get a tracking code?

sadly not. Wish you could. And tbh there’s only about a 50% chance you’ll actually receive it too without having to go down to your local social security office. There’s plenty of people on here (incl me) who did everything right…yet never received the card through the post.

I think he's talking about the physical green card.

I believe when it's shipped USCIS will provide a USPS tracking number or at least that's how it used to be.

Yes, just use the fee receipt number to track it on the USCIS site. It’ll tell you when it’s in production, when it’s been made, when it’s shipped etc - and you can then track it via USPS too.

Let me take an aside to this question. The stamped immigrant visa serves as proof of permanent residency valid for 1 year from the entry date. The LPR in question can use that for basically anything they'd normally need the green card for - social security number, driver's license, work, international travel, etc, etc.

So if you're worried that you legally just won't exist between the entry date and when the green card finally arrives, don't be.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.
