The newest Executive Order from the US administration, mentions: 

 

identify all resources that may be used to ensure that all aliens seeking admission to the United States, or who are already in the United States, are vetted and screened to the maximum degree possible;

 

This to me means possible longer AP times...

Anyway, it probably means someone is working on your case and as soon as they touch it, something changes in the system...
