Hello Every one, My passport and photos were delivered on December 18, 2024. But I received the below response from Consulate!!!

Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry.
We acknowledge receipt of your medical exam. However, we have not yet received the other requested documents.
All mail directed to the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal is received at an offsite mail processing facility. It takes additional time before the mail actually reaches the Visa Unit. If applicants do not send the mail using our courier service, longer mail processing delays may be expected. Once additional documents are received, an adjudicating Consular officer will review the case taking into consideration the additional evidence provided. As soon as the review is complete, the Visa Unit will provide you with further details regarding the status of the visa application.

I'm sorry to hear this. You are a veteran compared to me (did my interview on Jan 10, 2025). Do you think you sending them emails every two weeks did anything? or when you received your request in Oct, it was only the normal course of AP? Maybe you should start sending them those emails again!

Hello, I appreciate the response!

To answer the question, e-mailing did help at first I think. It was like... I sent them the docs they wanted following the interview, waited the prerequisite period of 90 days before sending an inquiry, and sent the first e-mail in July. Nothing. I did it again in a week. Nothing. I did it AGAIN and got a generic response a week after that to the same day; "We can't determine processing time." So I waited ANOTHER two weeks then. Response was similar, can't determine. Sent another update request again. Got a similar response in a week and eventually responses slowed to two weeks. Repeated this process over and over until October rolled around. It was at the end of October that the agent gave me the choice. I did it, and here we are. I have recently started sending e-mails again to try and get something, but now it's dead silence. CEAC still says refused and AIS still says "Send Documents."

One thought that comes to mind is that maybe the Canada Post Strike delayed the process further alongside the holiday season, but we're sitting cozy in January. Everyone from my workplace is wondering what the heck happened and/or how this process is being "bad" (they used MUCH more colorful language). I'm just playing online games with the fiancee and American friends in the meanwhile I guess. lol

Visa in hand. Fiance is planning to cross by air travel in Montréal on Saturday the 18th.

Good luck to everyone on their visa journey. This process is difficult and painful and my best wishes go out to anyone still waiting. I hope wait times just get shorter and shorter.
