Today marks 4 weeks since my wife's interview at the US Embassy Manila, where she received verbal approval and instructed to wait 1-2 weeks for her IR1 visa. No 221g given and no subsequent messages received requesting further documentation or clarification.

Case status is updated daily or every two days and remains at "READY." Phone and email inquiry yielded the same boilerplate result: Case is still undergoing review.

We are worried as her medical expires in 6 weeks and have no clue what is causing the delay. PD is June 2022 so it's been a 30-month ordeal, including a one-year wait just to get that November interview.

Any suggestions or help is appreciated!

Oh, okay, I hope you get results quickly.  I haven't got our whole timeline filled in here but this whole process is three years for us and we have learned that

as long as we KNOW what is going on, waiting is not that bad, but when you don't have a clue because of ambiguity, that drives us crazy LOL.

My wife got through medical without sputum testing needed, and everything else is good, so her medical is good for six months.

From my research on the subject, it sounds like the normal time is six months valid, and only three months when there is something possibly detected

related to HIV or latent TB where there is no active infection, just the presence of the virus.
