Will applying for a tourist visa while I have a pending K1 fiance visa hurt my chances of K1 approval?

Hi - I have a fiance from India for whom I've filed a i129f petition for back in October 2024. She would like to visit me in the US and it would be her first time visiting the US. She doesn't currently hold a tourist visa so she would have to apply for one. By applying for a tourist visa, would it in any way hurt our chances of getting our fiance visa approved? And how likely is it for her to get the tourist visa approved?

 

The tourist visa would be merely for meeting me and tourism related reasons, and we will not get married here.

A lot will depend on her circumstances, it has happened but not very common.

I have come across a couple of Tourist Visa approvals.
