Following our F4 visa interview, our application was denied. We subsequently submitted a waiver request and, after a month, received an embassy request for our passports. Nine months have passed with minimal updates via the CEAC portal. Yesterday, we received notification from the embassy requiring a new medical examination due to expiration. The healthcare provider requires our original passports, which are currently held by the embassy. How should we proceed, and is the request for a new medical examination a positive indicator or standard procedure?

I'm not aware of any waivers being approved that fast.

judging from prior posts we are unlikely to get clarification

My father, the applicant, had a U.S. visa application rejected in 1998. He has a speech impediment and experiences memory lapses under stress. This information was inadvertently omitted from the DS-260 form, and his subsequent failure to recall the prior application during the consular officer's inquiry resulted in the visa denial.

Waiver is not approved yet. They asked for Original Passports and for re medical without giving a proper answer if the waiver is accepted or rejected.
