Package delivered on Dec 19 and received courtesy copy of notice of action on 12/27 but have not received the official extension letter/notice of action yet. I used a lawyer and they asked for the official notice to send to them but they have not received it.

The courtesy copy said they mailed out the official notice so this is a little strange.

Is it normal for official letter to take so long after courtesy copy?

Yes, letters can take 4-6 weeks to arrive. Also don't forget we just had a bunch of holidays a week ago.

I think I got anxious after seeing others reported getting the official notice quicker lol. I'd think they mailed out the official notice since they mailed me a courtesy copy.

I feel like some cases things are sent out differently and then you have to account for the holidays as well.

For us, we received 3 letters in the mail at once. even though the NOA notification was a week before the Biometric Schedule letter.

For us everything came in 2 weeks after USCIS had received our packet.

Currently waiting for biometrics appointment notice to arrive.

The only mail Ive received is biometrics re-use letter.

Anyone else just receive the NOA 1 letter in the mail but not the extension letter and notice that they're reusing the biometrics? Online we got the 48 extension and notice about reusing the biometrics but never received from uscis a mail notice

NOA1 is the extension letter.

 

Mail can take 4-8 weeks behind online updates

Why did you use an attorney?  It's so simple.

There's nothing wrong with using attorney if can afford. All of my cases, including I-751 were handled by attorneys.
